ACUPRESSURE
Acupressure is a way of accessing and releasing blocked or congested energy centers within the body.
Related to Acupuncture, this treatment is beneficial in de-stressing the body and freshly energising oneself.
The effects are so immediate that it has become popular within busy work places where employees receive regular treatments from a visiting therapist.
Follows the same principle as Acupuncture using the Meridians which are not physical channels, in the way that veins and arteries are channels for blood.
They can not be explained by dissection. Each Meridian controls Qi associated with one of the principal internal organs.
There are twelve Meridians in each half of the body and they occur symmetrically No needles are used, nor is there any need to remove your clothing. Instead the therapist uses the fingers upon the various pressure points.
